Anubing is popular for its strong and durable wood. It produces useful latex called Anubing Gum. Children are delighted to play with its leaves because of its Velcro-like underleaf that firmly sticks to articles of clothing. Another local name for anubing is kili-kili (armpit), so called because of the smell of its rotten fruit.
